River Café

Take the elevator down to the Spa at Maya level to discover the infinity-edged rock swimming pool and the River Café. Elevated just above the banks of the swirling Petanu River, the River Café’s casual setting is the place to enjoy a menu of snacks, refreshments and luncheon choices. A selection of conscious cuisine dishes and salads are featured, as well as the best personal pizzas in all of Ubud.

Wholesome food at it's finest, The River Café is all about helping you maintain a complete balance of wellness whilst at Maya Ubud.

As we have evolved things have become more and more refined. The natural processes of storage and cooking have been replaced with chemicals, microwaves and instant food options.  At the River Café try to use the natural elements in food to assist the body in its day to day processes without placing unnecessary strain on it.

We use fresh organic vegetables and herbs from the hills of Bedugul. We are proud supporters of the Slow Food movement and follow its principles including using sustainable produce and only when in season.

Rather than refined white flour we offer wheat alternatives such as quinoa, buckwheat and coconut flour. Instead of breads to start your meal we offer crudite with tahini.

We have a full selection of vegetarian, gluten free along with ‘conscious cuisine’ options. Clean, fresh, natural and crisp. Textures and ingredients are balanced to nourish the body, mind and soul.

Using gentle crushing and squeezing techniques, cold press juicing has more than double the nutrients and living enzymes.
The Petanu Jamu Tonic ~ tangerine, honey, lime, turmeric, cinnamon. Have you ever wondered why the Balinese are so happy and healthy? They drink jamu. It contains anti-cancer properties, improves metabolism and clears your liver and has many other medicinal qualities. A must try.

Vitamin C Spree ~ pineapple, lemon, oranges and mint. This juice is a jolt of vitamin C, which is known to assist in anti-aging.

Body Cleanser ~ beetroot, carrot, ginseng and ginger. Designed for cleansing and reviving the organs and glands. High in vitamin B & C

The Skin Tonic ~ orange, cucumber, carrot and ginger Excellent for the complexion and also helps rids the kidneys of toxins.

BP Control ~ mango, pear, carrot and apple. This juice helps reduce body heat, counteracts toxicity and decreases blood pressure. Apple is a well known anti oxidant. The addition of mango makes this juice a very tasty drink.

Ginseng-Berry Clearer ~ honey melon, apple, mixed berries and ginseng. The melon is a ‘wonderfruit’ high in vitamin B, minerals and antioxidants. It hydrates the brain and ginseng gives clarity.

Kidney Kick-Start ~ green apple, pineapple and watermelon. Excellent for your kidneys and bladder, this juice is also good for dispelling excess salt from your system
